"I once was lost, but now am found..." I received Christ as my personal Lord and Savior when I was a Freshman in High School. But due to the fact that I was not in a Christian environment, I did not find out what was the purpose of being a Christian or how to grow spiritually. So over the next three or four years, although I was saved eternally, I got very far from God experientially. I became very hungry, like the prodigal son in Luke 15. I came into contact with Christians on Campus when I was a Sophomore in college. Their emphasis on knowing the living Christ in resurrection attracted me and I soon found my spiritual hunger being filled with the "milk of the word." (1 Peter 2:2) My life began to change because I was so satisfied with the enjoyment I found in Christ. My grades went up, my heart got happier, and my vision of God's purpose as well as the meaning of my human life became clearer. I am grateful to the many brothers and sisters in Christ who have helped me to know the Lord and His word through their faithful prayer, care, and shepherding. My college experienced was greatly enriched through my experience with Christians on Campus. -Mike F. |
