"Patterns and Companions" I was raised in a home in which both of my parents loved the Lord and were following Him. From a young age I heard so much about the Lord–who He was, what He has done, and what He is doing; yet, in high school I became more interested with the things this world has to offer. I came to UTSA thinking that I would have so much more freedom living on my own. I met Christians on Campus my first semester, but only met with them sparingly over the next two and a half years. During that time I became distracted with many other things. After those two and half years the Lord decided it was time to free me from those distractions so that He could reveal Himself to me. I was like a baby starving for spiritual food. The brothers and sisters with Christians on Campus gave me the only thing that can truly satisfy–Christ! They opened up the word of God to me in a way that I had never been able to see or comprehend before. They cared for me genuinely and sincerely. They became patterns in their pursuing of Christ, and companions to pursue with. Thus the last two years of college became more than school, work and dealing with everyday things; they became the years that my Lord Jesus Christ made Himself real to me.
